Skills Acquisition Project (The SAP Project)
The project involves training, empowerment, motivation and mentoring of youths on self-development, and capacity building through skills acquisition. The training program has been structured as an academy called Life Skills Academy.
The Life Skills Academy which is the training arm of Better Nigeria Initiative fulfill her goal by organizing trainings, seminars, and workshops as well as creating internship opportunities for youths to explore their newly acquired gifts.
Over 50 students of the University of Ibadan recently benefit from a Tuition-Free Scholarship opportunity to attend the 2013 session of the Life Skill Academy as pioneer students. Students were trained on any of our ICT courses, Creative arts and also Leadership/Management courses.
Moreover; we recently oragnised a Youth Entrepreneuship Training Programme on Fish Farming for Students of the University of Ibadan. The training which lasted for five weeks was 100% pratical and boasted the production of more than 1500 fingerlings which are now under further farming into mature Cat fish. The training was provided by our Project Partner; Multi Grace Farm International, Ibadan.
